Roland Drews is an experienced HR expert and interim manager with over 30 years of professional experience in human resources. His career spans various positions as a human resources manager in companies of different sizes and industries. He has been working as an independent HR interim manager since 2005 and in this role has led a number of successful projects in the areas of change management, restructuring, mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and post merger integration.
In his role as division and department head, Drews has gained experience across industries, including in the automotive industry, chemical industry, energy industry, the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, as well as in the Internet and IT sectors.
He has extensive industry experience in various types of companies, including owner-managed and family businesses, corporations and medium-sized companies, with a particular focus on the German market. Drews speaks German as a native language and is fluent in English. His specialist knowledge covers various areas of human resources, including corporate labor law, due diligence, business transfers and the conception of balance of interests and social plans.
He also specializes in de-escalation management when dealing with the works council, including the development of works agreements and the handling of fundamental labor law issues. In addition, his skills include mentoring managers, especially in the human resources area, as well as establishing HR business partner models.
