Frank Herder is an experienced professional with over 30 years of experience in project and management positions in various industrial sectors, including the automotive supply industry, electronics industry and medical technology. His expertise includes development and industrialization through to factory and production management, with extensive knowledge of modern production systems, design to cost development and restructuring projects.
He specializes in process quality and project management (as a Prince2 Practitioner) and has knowledge of ERP, MES and Industry 4.0 systems. Frank Herder has leadership experience and methodological knowledge in transformation topics, with a focus on transformation in e-mobility, agile product development in electronics and the industrialization of electronics production. In his professional career he has worked in various functions including engineering, supply chain management, production, organization and research & development, both at the second management level and as a project manager, consultant, advisor and coach.
His industry experience extends to automotive, electrical engineering/electronics, renewable energies/environmental technology, medical technology and plant engineering. Frank Herder has worked in companies of different sizes and types in Europe and the USA. He speaks fluent German and business English and holds a number of certificates and awards, including PRINCE2 project management and TOC mental models.
His particular competencies lie in plant management/production management, restructuring, personnel management in critical situations, holistic production optimization, project management of new starts, process development/industrialization, electrical/electronic production, assembly, automation as well as QMS experience (ISO 16949/9001/13485) and organizational consulting in the product development process .
